Preliminary Inventory of the Records of the Field Offices of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands (Record Group 105)compiled by Elaine Everly and Wilna Pacheli. National Archives and Records Service, General Services Administration. 1973. [FHL US/CAN 973, F23ea]
Part 1 is for Alabama - Louisiana
Part 2 is for Maryland - South Carolina
Part 3 is for the other states
Note: The cover of the document states that the inventory has been reproduced in this form by the Military Archives Division in order to make it readily available for staff use and that it has not been distributed as a National Archives and Records Service publication. Perhaps this is why it is not readily available in many libraries. This was a 1998 acquisition of the FHL in Salt Lake City.
This work is mentioned in The Source: A Guidebook of American Genealogy, edited by Arlene Eakle and Johni Cerny. It's primary purpose is its use as a finding guide.
