Monthly Program Meetings
Who can attend:
AAGSNC monthly program meetings are open to members and to the public.
Frequency:
Program meetings are held the third Saturday of each month except July and August, and include a presentation on topics of interest to help further African American family history research, including breaking brick walls, DNA or genetic genealogy, researching enslaved ancestors, and much more!
Time:
1:30 pm. until 4:00 pm.
Place:
We hold Hybrid Meetings, which are virtual via Zoom, and in-person locally at the Oakland Family Search Center, 4766 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, CA, 94602.
State Research Group Meetings
Who can attend:
All eligible AAGSNC Members in good standing may attend.
Frequency:
Meetings are held monthly on various days and times. Check the Calendar of Events or the feed on the website Home page.

Meetings are virtual via Zoom.
Board Meetings
The AAGSNC Board of Directors meets regularly to provide oversight for the Society and to ensure that the Society compliies with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the Society’s 501 (c) (3) status.
Who can attend:
Regular Board meetings are closed to the membership and the public. The annual Board meeting is open to all members.
Frequency:
The AAGSNC Board of Directors’ Meetings are held quarterly. The annual Board meeting is held in January of each year.

Executive Committee Meetings
Who can attend:
The Executive Committee consists of all officers and committee chairs.
Frequency:
The Executive Committee Meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month except July and August, immediately prior to the Monthly Program Meeting.
